Bush Was Right After All
I appreciate President Obama honoring the troops in his speech about Iraq last night. However, it amazes me that he took credit for the success and completion of the mission as well as the withdrawal of the troops. The August 31st deadline to withdraw troops was set by Iraq during the Bush administration. The success in of the mission in Iraq would not have happened without the 30,000 troop surge recommended by General Petraeus and approved by President Bush. The left-wing liberals referred to the general as General "Be tray us" and vilified President Bush. Our current commander-in-chief was a senator from Illinois then and insisted the troop surge would fail. He was very wrong but will not admit he was wrong and will not give President Bush the credit he rightly deserves. Here is then Senator Obama in his own words...
